Welcome, this is the blog for the Animation Newport 2010 exhibition.

The exhibitors are currently setting up the gallery ready for the opening, I shall post some photos of the gallery setup-in-progress soon.

A little bit about the exhibition and the animators exhibiting:

The exhibition is a selection of the top graduate films coming out of the University of Wales, Newport this year. There is wide variety of work being shown with a whole range of subjects ranging from questions of existence and belief to an elderly lady called Betty.

Some of the techniques and mediums used in the creation of these short films include plasticine and found object stop-motion, pencil crayon hand-drawn and 2D digital animation.

The exhibitors themselves are final year animation students coming to the end of their degree. As well as animating, many are also keen illustrators, live action filmmakers and there are even some musicians. They love to explore and create and this exhibition is a chance to show you what they have achieved at the very start of their careers.
